Something is wrong | whym's Blog

You know how you can just *tell* something is wrong but you can't define exactly what?  That's where I am today.  I'm used to random symptoms getting me...exhaustion that lasts so long I can't seem to stop sleeping, weird tremors in my hands, arms and legs.  Blinding headaches, strange aches and pains...nightmares, issues issues issues.  This one is kinda bugging me though. 

Yesterday, I had a drink of water from my fridge at home (bottled),  Right afterwards, I felt like I had water on my lip (like I had a big glass and drank it like a toddler, coating my upper lip).  I wiped my face but it wasn't wet at all, of course, as I had just taken a drink from a bottle.  I thought nothing of it.  Later that morning in the car, I suddenly got the same feeling...my upper lip seems wet.  It wasn't sweat, I wasn't wearing any makeup...just a weird feeling. 

It came back again last night as I was drinking a coffee and it's getting worse.  It feels a little like I'm drooling..lol..It doesn't hurt, isn't numb, just feels...wet and almost like my upper lip is pulling up in some sort of a snarl.  When I look in the mirror, however, all is well. 

What's the opposite of Bells Palsy?

Thanks Marji xx I've been trying to get diagnosed for nearly 7 years now. I've been to every specialist I can think of including neruology. I've already called my neuro for an appt. They can just never figure out what's going on with me. :(

Destry <3 Thanks love. Yep - I'll see someone soon. I'm thinking it's likely a side effect from one of my meds. I take meds for PTSD (antipsychotics), and then a bunch for rheumatoid arthritis. (Celebrex). It's a nasty one for the system.

I hopeful it's the meds, anyway. Thanks for the love guys. Needed it. xx

No..I manage the psychological symptoms okay on Pristiq and clomipramine. Seroquel to sleep. The rest is all for the arthritis (or whatever it is) pain. Celebrex, toradol, oxy when it gets really bad.

I think it's the Celebrex, if anything, causing the numbness/cold feeling. Rheumatlogist on Tues. *fingers crossed*

i'm on Pristiq, lorazapam, busbar.. doc wants me to go on the abilify but i'm freaked about it.

I've never heard bad things about abilify. It's supposed to do a good job taking that final edge off if the pristiq isn't working.

Abilify, as far as I know, has much fewer side effects than other meds and it's non-habit forming. *hugs you* we should share a medicine cabinet.

I wasn't doing well on pristiq until my doc added the colmipramine. I'm only on 20mg daily and it's done wonders for the anxiety and depression. It's used to treat OCD, which I do not have but if it helps, I'm eating it. xx
